Isn’t there a difference between AM and Morning?

It’s not like I just woke up after a long stay on the toilet to find nothing better to do than sign into yahoo messenger after a long nite of drinking. I’m sure I have done that, but not tonite. Check out the greeting and the time on the image below served up by Yahoo! Insider or whatever the hell the slightly annoying window that Yahoo IM opens every time the laptop boots up.

Maybe its time I dig into the settings and get rid of this. Now that I think about it I could probably cut a whole minute off my boot time on this laptop. And then I’ll install Ubuntu and all will be well.

Dakota Chess Club?

Ok, a couple games of chess between me and BlakeB and I decide we should start a weekly chess league of sorts, he’s down with it, so I set up a Yahoo group, cause Yahoo chess rocks.

The idea is we get a good number of people who at least know how to play chess that would play one game/week.  We do some type of round robin with all of us.  It might be fun.

sad discoveries

today i log into my yahoo mail account and i get no little cartoon doing anything. nothing, just logging into yahoo mail or whatever the text is. i miss that little guy, boxing, breakdancing, or just humping the little bouncey ball. we had some good times together. you will not be forgotten.

UPDATE: the little boxing dude was back later this afternoon!

Yahoo Mail

After writing about the little guy that you see when you log into the new Yahoo! Mail, someone from yahoo left a comment on the old version of KP explaining the dude bouncing on the ball. Now they’ve got a new image(s). I haven’t got a screenshot of the guy breakdancing beside his stereo, but I did get this dude boxing.

Maybe they changed it up after my complaint (it wasn’t really a complaint) about the dude on the ball.  No, that couldn’t possibly be. My suggestion would be 2 of these guys playing foosball!  Try that Yahoo!
