The dangers of being a computer programmer

I’ve often talked about it, you may have heard me before. This is a dangerours job. Some days my job requires me to use the control key more times than any human being could normally be expected to so inside a 24 hour time period, and I do it all within an 8 or 9 hour work day.

Today is one of those days. That fucker is sore and I’ve got at least a little bit more than 2 hours left before I will get out of here for the day.

The only thing that will bring me a full recovery is some good beer and a US victory over Guatemala later tonite.

A day without music

I forgot my broken iPod and headphones at home this morning, it hurts.

I did get a late start to my day.  Went to see an allergy doctor this morn at 9am to have some allergy tests done.  It turns out, I got pretty bad allergies (I already knew that). So I get to start up allergy shot in a couple of weeks!  Allergy testing does take a while, so I didn’t get to work until about 11am, then to the Pita Pit at noon, and back at the office for the rest of the afternoon.  so its been a pretty shortened day with almost none of the morning spent here, but without music its been painfull.

Lucky for me, I did get my gigabeat today!  Come back and get the full review of it later.

inside out pants?

I was just sitting at work lookin down on my crotch earlier today and i notice that the seam on my pants looked weird. it looked almost as you would expect the seam on the inside of the pants to look. holy shit, i put my pants on inside out today, how could i do that and not notice until now. for about 1 second, i was convinced of it, i had my pants on inside out all day long. then my brain started to work and i realized that particular streach of seam on my pants is just starting to come apart. so i suppose soon enough i’d have a big opening on my inner right thigh. i guess its time to go to Kohl’s.

i got a picture of my new home at work. we got some fancy custom made desks installed and this one is mine, its not the most comfortable, or the most usefull, but its mine.

mantronix is rockin

my office is getting some furniture delivered today and set up tomorrow, so it has been cleaned out and is totally empty today.  because of that i’m working at home today and tomorrow.  right now i’m set up on the poker table, got the stereo pumpin out some mean mantronix.  its really hard to get any work done with mantronix rockin the beat, i have a hard time not getting up and busting a move in the hallway!  party shuffle, be nice to me.
