spider in my shower

February 26, 2007 · Leave a Comment

i was just showering a few minutes ago! my basement shower has a little ledge right below the ceiling along one side of the shower. it isn’t big enough to put anything up there, i don’t know what the purpose of it is, its only about 2 inches tall and maybe that deep.

anyway, as i’m showering tonite i see a small spider crawl out of this little space and i actually think to myself:

is that spider going to jump down onto my weiner and bite it, prompting an unfomfortable trip to see my old entomology professor who was an expert on spider bites?

which is really weird cause i never took any entomology class.

Weird Dreams Weird Day

January 21, 2007 · Leave a Comment

My day starts off thinking about the dreams I was having right before waking up:

First I’m in some sort of school gymnasium listening to a political debate of some sort.  There was a very good looking female republican representative from South Dakota who was wearing tight jeans and a LA Lakers jersey.  She was going on about some bullshit, so we decided to give her the Sweeden cheer, but replaced Sweeden with Lakers.  People got really pissed off.

Then I’m out on the Northridge (Elementary school I went to) soccer field with my best soccer mate (aka Agent Gambit) just kickin the ball around with a few people.  This hot chic in the Lakers jersey comes to ask us if we’d like to play american football with her and some of her friends.  We kinda wanted to but were hesitant because our soccer coach was around somewhere and he’d probably be mad if he saw us playing american football, so we didn’t.  The really weird thing is that our soccer coach was Bill Parcells (The Tuna) coach of the Dallas Cowboys.

Now I’m gonna do some website stuff.  I notice this morning that I got my first pageRank’d website.  PageRank is google’s ranking system, from 0 – 10.  Most sites rank at 0, and anything about 6 is awesome.  Until now all of my websites were at 0, but I got one of them up to 1, yee-haw.  I also notice I have several front page links for some of the sports team domain names i own.  You’ll find my links on the front page if you search for Nashville Predators and Minnesota Thunder.  I was up there for LA Galaxy and hope to get that one back up, and hopefully get New York Red Bulls up there too!  So I’m gonna do a little work to get those back up while I wait for a phone call about a website I’m actually working on for someone else.  Gonna check out the recently released Drupal 5.0!

A day without music

January 15, 2007 · Leave a Comment

I forgot my broken iPod and headphones at home this morning, it hurts.

I did get a late start to my day.  Went to see an allergy doctor this morn at 9am to have some allergy tests done.  It turns out, I got pretty bad allergies (I already knew that). So I get to start up allergy shot in a couple of weeks!  Allergy testing does take a while, so I didn’t get to work until about 11am, then to the Pita Pit at noon, and back at the office for the rest of the afternoon.  so its been a pretty shortened day with almost none of the morning spent here, but without music its been painfull.

Lucky for me, I did get my gigabeat today!  Come back and get the full review of it later.

something isn’t right with my brain

January 12, 2007 · Leave a Comment

i don’t like it to get as cold as ANY of these temperatures are.  It amazes me how 50 degrees would feel like a heat wave in January and I’d go outside with shorts and a t-shirt, but in July it would be pants, sweatshirt, and maybe even a stocking cap day….

the broken ipod challenge

January 10, 2007 · Leave a Comment

I challenge you all to do this as well, at least those of you that have the type of job that allows you to sit with headphones on listening to music as you work.  I guess that mite not be many of you, but at least try to imagine yourself doing it and decide if you could do it or not.  It also is only for people who have their own mp3 players, and preferably big ones, 20GB+.

On with it…

Recently I broke my iPod’s screen, but it still plays music just fine.  I know the menu system enough to get myself to the “Shuffle All” option on the main menu, but scrolling through artists is impossible.  So now I sit and have shuffle all going all day long.  Today I decided that i was going to put it on hold and not skip a single song all day.  I’m going to live at the mercy of the party shuffle.  I’m gonna try at least.

I’ll keep updates coming.  I’ve learned a lot about my music collection already.  It’s gonna be hard.

cleansing diet for the 30 year old

January 4, 2007 · Leave a Comment

i’m about to turn 30 years old and i decided for some odd reason that i should go onto a cleansing diet after i turn 30 (no including my actual birthday). so i did a little web search and came up with widely varied results. some places say to do the diet for 2 weeks, some say no more than 2 or 3 days. they all are a little different, but all have you living on some degree of fruit juice and water.

does anyone know anything about a good cleansing/detox diet? the 2 or 3 day one sounds a little more my style, and when this diet is done, i’m gonna start using heavy drugs.

It’s all part of my plan to shit clear some day!!!!
