The dangers of being a computer programmer

I’ve often talked about it, you may have heard me before. This is a dangerours job. Some days my job requires me to use the control key more times than any human being could normally be expected to so inside a 24 hour time period, and I do it all within an 8 or 9 hour work day.

Today is one of those days. That fucker is sore and I’ve got at least a little bit more than 2 hours left before I will get out of here for the day.

The only thing that will bring me a full recovery is some good beer and a US victory over Guatemala later tonite.

Damm, my blogroll is empty

So another side effect of making this move to wordpress.com is that i lose my blogroll. I know there were only about 5 links on there, but what the hell. Get back on the KP blogroll by leaving a link in the comments of this post. This way I know I only get KP readers that have active websites.

Addictions are a bitch

I used to be addicted to pizza, the I was addicted to chewy sweet tarts, I guess there was that whole cigarette thing too. Luckily those addictions are all gone today. The pizza addiction shows it ugly head every once in a while, but it has been a real long time since I’ve taken part in either of the other two. But now I have a new addiction, thanks to my son Luke. Here is is after swigging down the entire bottle of DanActive, all 3.3 ounces of it. He started and then got me started. That is some good stuff, but be warned, you can’t swig only one.

I got lucky this weekend

I had some sick people to take care of this weekend so not much was happening. I left the house 3 different times, once to Blimpie, once to the drug store and once to the grocery store. Eact time I left home I was treated to TOOL on the radio as I drove away from my house south towards the general area of commerce that surrounds the I94 exit near my house.

No, I sweat I did not have a TOOL cd in my car, each time it was actually TOOL playing on Q98!

USA vs. Ecuador

If you missed it today, the US mens national metric football team took on Ecuador, a team that was very impressive at last summers world cup, much more impressive than the US themselves even tho we were the only team that Italy couldn’t beat. Well I guess really they didn’t beat France either, and they might have had another extra time game in there somewhere?

Anyway, I predicted the final score successfully via IM, you can ask neal. The last time the US played, i correctly predicted the final score via IM to Naked Larry, you can ask him. I guess the game coming up on Wednesday should take me to vegas, or at least a website that will let me make a bet on the final score. I bet you get pretty good odds on shit like that. I’d post my prediction right here, but I am only accurate if I predict just a few minutes before kickoff over IM to someone.

Thumbsucker

I’m sitting here watching Thumbsucker on the science fiction channel tonite and there is scene that was kinda weird.  Keanu Reeves is an orthodontist who is treating the main character, a 17 year old boy who is trying to kick the habit of sucking his thumb.  Keanu says that he wants to hyptnotize him to get rid of his habit.  I was just about hyptnotized and I did see my power animal.  It was really strange what the power animal was that i saw.  I bet you couldn’t guess what it was.
