lacrosse is a thing that makes me go hmmmmmm

today at buffalo wild wings some lacrosse came upon the tv. then there were 2 differnt lacrosse games on differnt tv’s at the same time, it was great. one men’s game and one women’s game. i for some reason started thinking about how, if i was single, i would make it my goal to do a lacrosse chic.

SO: since i’m not single and not really eligible to fulfill my dream, i ask any kidpurple readers out there, do a lacrosse chic and leave a comment here about it! that would make my day and give me insipration to keep writing!

last nite we had some people over for some drinking, some poker, some of anything. towards the end of the nite onree kinda created the dan or jill game. he was going thru cd’s trying to guess if a cd was mine or jill’s. casey got involved and it became a great game. i decided that i’d put the entrie collection onto a website so you could play dan or jill online! well its almost there. it will take some time before i get my entire cd collection put into the system, but for now, check it out and let me know if you find any bugs!

As i’m sitting here ripping mp3s from my cd collection i’m also downloading full albums at the same time. so i started browsing around amazon looking for ideas of stuff to download. i started out at rammstein and started clicking the links to other albums under the section “Customers who bought this title also bought:”. I went through a wide variety of stuff until i think a guns n roses cd led me to motley crue or tesla or something. after the wide variety, now i’m stuck in an endless loop of motley crue, winger, skid row, ratt, dokken, cinderella, tesla, whitesnake, slaughter, poison, def leppard, scorpions, etc…. i guess i have a large enough download Q already, lots of rammstein!

this morn i was thinking about going down to dakota magic for the day. but i didn’t. i’ve been ripping mp3s and playing poker online. i deposited $50 early this afternoon and i’ve just about doubled it! i konw that nothing extrordinary, but its not bad! i won’t go much longer cause FC Dalls vs DC United is calling my name, go FC Dallas!

i love peanut brittle

i had nothing else to say so i figured i’d confess my love of peanut brittle to everyone! i hope that i am not alone and that other peanut brittle lovers will be able to tell their friends and families. I know it is hard, but i did it in hopes of helping people everywhere.

i guess i better get back to more world of warcraft. my mage is only level 16.

liverpool

i rarely ever find any reason to cheer for liverpool, but today during the uefa champions league final, i found myself cheering for liverpool. and it was even against as milan, my favorite italian team. i guess i’m just that much more of a fan of the EPL than series A. when you combine me cheering for liverpool along with butt cricket from a little bit ago, i should probably go see a head doctor.

when i left work today

i had a cricket in my underwear, it was weird. beleive me! i’ll write a poem about the cricket in my underwear later…..

2 things just dont strike me right

this article about the vote for stem cell research just doesn’t fit in my brain quite right. I will highlight some parts that make this just not fit in my brain, and this is exactly copied from the article:

the very first paragraph:

“WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Despite a veto threat from
President Bush, the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday easily approved bipartisan legislation that would permit more federal funding of stem cell research on human embryos that would otherwise be discarded.”

the second paragraph:

… “would allow federal funding of stem cell research involving excess embryos from in vitro fertilization that would otherwise be discarded. It would not allow cloning a human baby.”

the fifth paragraph:

“Opponents of embryonic stem cell research believe it destroys human life and object to using taxpayer dollars to finance it. They also charge that the promise of the research has been hyped.”

the promise of research has been hyped???? that deserves to be bolded too, but its not today…..

the very next paragraph:

““The deliberate destruction of unique living self-integrated human persons is not some incidental tangent of embryonic stem cell research. It is the essence of the experiment — kill some in the hopes of saving others,” said House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, a Texas Republican.”

did i miss something or did they say this was all about embryos that would otherwise be discarded?

there is much more good stuff in this one, but i’m tired. read the whole thing here to see that i’m not making this shit up! i really like the one about the white house claiming that this legislation: “relies on unsupported scientific assertions to promote morally troubling and socially controversial research.”

that is just awesome, sounds a little bit like white house tactics themselves to me, just replace the word research with war! does war destroy human life? isn’t the idea behind that kill some to save some others? who knows?

okay, i promise i will be less serious tomorrow! maybe i’ll still even write a poem or something stupid like that i’m out.
